Cylindrical roller bearings

Cylindrical roller bearings are manufactured in many types, sizes and dimensions. The majority are single row bearings with cage.
The standard offer for general engineering complement single row and double row cylindrical roller bearings with full complement
of rolling elements (no cage). Bearings with cages carry high radial loads and can operate at high speeds. Bearings with a full complement
of rolling elements are suitable for very high loads and medium speeds.

The most important part of SKF cylindrical roller bearings are roller.
Contact geometry, the so-called logarithmic profile, provides
an optimal distribution in the bearing pressure at the point of contact.
The surface quality contributes to a continuous lubricating film and optimum rolling rollers.
These improvements brought about substantial improvement in function of roller bearings,
as well as operational reliability compared to conventional bearings, which are also less sensitive to misalignment.

Construction:
NU design - the outer ring NU design bearings has two guide flanges, while the inner ring is no guide flanges. Axial displacement of the shaft
with respect to the housing is permitted in both directions.
N design - the inner ring design in N has two guide flanges, while the outer ring is no guide flanges. Axial displacement of the shaft with
respect to the housing is permitted in both directions.
NJ design - outer ring NJ design bearings has two guide flanges, while the inner ring is provided with one guide flange. These bearings
can thus be used as a guide axially in one direction.
NUP design - the outer ring NUP design bearing the guide has two flanges and the inner ring flange has one fixed and one free flange,
which consists of loose flange ring. These bearings can be used as bi-directional axial guide bearings.
